Photo-less Digital Pages
I hope everyone is enjoying MOC 10 this month – I can’t believe we are in the last full week of January!! Today’s blog post is about Photo-less pages (which happens to be the subject of today’s MOC challenge). Some really love photo-less pages and others struggle with focus and design questions. Photo-less pages are not limited to art journaling or graphic styles. They can be scrapped in a traditional style (simple, clean, filled or pocket) and are great for journaling a story, capturing a memory that you do not have photos for or creating for the beauty of digital art. I personally love photo-less pages and want to share some of my recent faves with you.
This is the page I created for the challenge. It is very word-centric with the main focus on the message in the page title:

For those of you who love using traditional templates (with photo spots) – you can absolutely do that to create a photo-less page. Simply replace the photo spots with journaling cards or digital elements the size and shape of the photo spot. You can even frame the journaling card – just like a photo!
Photo-less pages are a great creative release (for happiness and angst):
If you miss having faces on your page, you can create a photo-less page with artistic digital doll elements or sketches.
You can even slip a sketched or hand-drawn digital element into a photo frame:
I personally love combining digital figure elements with word art to create a pieced-together story or everyday inspiration page:
I hope these examples give you a new appreciation for Photo-less pages and inspire you to create something that really makes your heart sing!
Until next time ~
Judie (HeyJude)
