Hybrid Highlights

Hi! Polly Dawn back again to show off some of the recent outstanding hybrid work at the Lilypad. I continue to be awed by the creativity on display in transforming digital products into hands-on art!

First, Ann-Sofie’s work always WOWs with her focus on natural beauty. I love the junk journal vibe of this page with torn paper, inked edges, paint and the use of sheet music. Gorgeous! This was made with Gökotta | Papers, Paint and Elements by Pixel Giraff Design.

And we all know that Rachel Jefferies is a digital mixed media genius but her hybrid pages take it to a whole new level! This spread, made with a map as the background is pure inspiration! I especially love the folded design, reflecting the map this is built on. Made with ‘Discover‘ Mixed Media Project Kit by Rachel Jefferies and Lynn Grieveson which includes pre-made printables to make this accessible for experienced and new hybrid artists alike.

Our regular hybrid contributor, ajm, made this absolute stunner recently with the same collection. I love that hybrid permits unlimited options to for page size — this one is A4. And the looped string adds such wonderful dimensionality without having to fiddle with a sewing machine.

Finally, making cards is always a great way to stretch your stash while also making a gift a little more special. The hybrid gallery is brimming with card inspiration including these happy cards by Claire and Ann-Sofie.

By Claire, made with My Cup of Happy Bundle by Karen Chrisman Designs.

By Ann-Sofie, made with  Flamazing | Collaborative Kit by EH Studios and Designed by Soco
