Give & Take

Hiya friends! I am soooooo exited to be back here today for the GIVEAWAY!!!! Thanks for waiting until LATE Sat. night since we were at the beach all day (we are in Newport for vacation WAHOOO) and I thought it was a good chance for any last min. entries! 🙂

But before I get to the giveaway…. I wanted to talk to you about something near and dear to my heart. My brother in law is the founder of a non-profit called Serve A Little. I could go on and on about how wonderful they are but this video says it all, and its wonderful please take a look….

Since we started Serve A Little in 2009, we have only had the time, dollars, and hard work of our volunteers. And this small group has been able to help over 200 families, primarily single mothers. We have also started building a public school in Haiti that will give hundreds of children safer, better lives. But we want to step up our efforts and do even more. If you contribute only $5 a month, you can help us do just that.
That monthly contribution will help us keep meeting the needs of local families, and help us build and maintain our schools in Haiti. Instead of a one-time donation, a $5 monthly pledge helps us much more, financially and practically. It lets us have a steady, consistent source of support that lets us meet the growing needs of the people we serve. To put it another way, if we know we can count on you, the people we serve will know they can count on us. Thank you.

So here are the facts… When I posted this on Facebook, ONE person. One. Steped up to give $5 a month to help build a school in Haiti. Guess who it was? Yes, thats right… my MoTHER!! LOL! I told Matthew that I could get more people, so I need your help!! I know my friends here at TLP will step up! So if I can get 50 people to give just $5 a month my next give away (in June) will be valued at over $50, 100 people? $100 value! So on and so on! So if you decide to step up and give just $5 a MONTH to help build a school in Haiti will you please leave a comment saying you have done so, this way I can keep track on how much TLP is is doing to help build this schooL! 🙂 I am very excited! I know you can do this!!!!!!

It was so much to read all your comments, and now I know more of what you guys are looking for & what you like! I am very excited to send this out to someone, getting happy mail is always the best.. isn’t it?
