Is anyone scrapping about the news stories related to the Pandemic? It's hard not to at least mention it, especially since our daily lives have changed so much. Here is one of the pages I've made. This is from our first week of self-isolation, but I plan to use the PL format to keep up a sort of timeline/journal/record of the pandemic there are some awesome freebies on line. Check out some from our designers: https://paisleepress.com/2020/03/in-this-together/ https://socoscrapsetloisirs.blogspot.com/2020/03/freebie-hope-above-fear.html https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/ultra-minimal-editorial-challenge.70905/ Here are some other great freebies: https://www.persnicketyprints.com/free-coronavirus-timeline-printable/ One of the big things I've been doing lately is to take a screenshot on my phone of the front page of the newspaper Here are some great resources for information: https://www.newseum.org/todaysfrontpages/ https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ It's important to include our own feelings and reactions in our jouranaling. It's a great method for dealing with the anxiety and it will be nice to be able to remember more than just the facts years from now, looking back, ourselves, and also for future generations who will have no idea what it's like. It's equally as important to add a little humor...in such a bleak time, humor is a great way to put a little lighter spin on things. I love memes and save my favorites to add to my PL pages. Here is my favorite...in January, I posted this one, because it rang so true: And then, this one came out in March and is soo sooo true...I can't help but laugh every time I read it: PLEASE ADD YOUR LOs TO INSPIRE OTHERS!
I've been journaling sporadically basically to share my thoughts with my generations to come (along with the family history that I'm working on). But find that some of my scrap pages also reflect this time. I did this one for Art Journaling weekly muse and it really resonates - in fact last night I played scattergories with my family using FaceTime.
I used non-TLP content so I won't post it in the gallery, but I made this one using a free virus kit by by Amanda Yi & Wendy P. I will probably make another update page tomorrow since it will be a week later. World map & stats is a screenshot of the John Hopkins University's website.
