But I don’t do Project Anything?
So how in the world am I going to use all of the awesome Journal Cards that show up each and every week! I just love them, you may say, but I can’t see where I’ll use them. Well, never fear, I’m gonna give you some inspiration from our own Pollys to help you out with this. And you’ll be snatching up Journal Cards to help augment your pages before you know it!
1. Let’s face it. Journaling is sometimes the most challenging part of creating a page. One way to use Journal Cards is to do your journaling for you. Sneaky, right?
This fun page by Rachel uses this technique. She added a few words to each card and it tells the story quite well. Don’t you think?
She used these fun card templates *bonus* from Valorie Wibbens.
And here’s one from me that totally uses the card as my journaling, LOL. (No, it’s not cheating)
I used these great school themed cards from Sabrina Dupre.
2. You love the template but just don’t have quite enough photos for it? Journal cards can be your answer.
Look how Ana.Paula used this journal card from Little Butterfly Wings to fill a space on Amy Martin’s new template. Awesome idea, right?
3. I love to stack! Journal cards are great for paper stacking. No clipping needed :).
Here’s a simple and wonderful page by Heather showing off this technique.
She used these versatile cards from Sabrina Dupre.
4. Of course, we can’t leave out Project life pages! And you can certainly do a Project Life style page without doing Project life.
This page from Heather actually is a Project Life page (she’s my PL hero), but you can totally see where you could do the same thing on any page. Her cards set the mood of the whole page.
And look at these fun Pocket Fillers she used, also from Valorie Wibbens
And here’s a page that is the same style but documents an everyday moment.
Using these cards from One Little Bird.
And this template from Kate Hadfield and Nicole Russell.
5. And of course, Journal Cards are perfect for… wait for it… JOURNALING!
One from Dana that used the card from Little Butterfly Wings just as it was intended.
And I love this one from Rebecca using cards (with a twist) from Splindid Fiins.
So there! Maybe you are not currently doing Project 365 or Life or 52 or Anything! That doesn’t mean you can’t take advantage of the really cool Journal Cards in the Lilypad store. Check out this section of the store and be inspired!
