Weekly Planner Layout

November 29, 2016 by The Lilypad Leave a Comment

Hi guys! It’s Polly Monica here to share with you my weekly planner layout and some tips for putting your planner pages together.

weekly planner layout

Keeping up with my planner on a weekly basis keeps my entire life so much more organized and manageable! I try to set aside time each week, typically on Sunday afternoons, to plan out the next week and get everything written down in my planner.

I use the monthly layout in my planner to write down things as they come up and then I put them on my weekly layout when I’m planning out my week. I put them down in much more detail in my weekly layout. I want the monthly spread to just be a quick glimpse of what’s coming up.

The very first thing I always do when I sit down to begin planning is make sure I have all of my supplies printed out on sticker paper using the print and cut function on my Silhouette cutting machine. For this layout I used Just Jaimee’s Printable Planner Kit from her Storyteller 2016 December collection. These are included with the VIP Storyteller Subscription each month and I love using them in my planner!

There are several other designers at The Lilypad who offer printable planner kits and I’ll include links to some of these at the end of this post.

After I have all of my kit supplies printed out and cut on sticker paper, I’m ready to begin the planning fun!

The first thing I always do is put down any scheduled appointments or due dates. I use Steadliner Fine Tip Pens to write in my planner because I love the way they glide across the paper and they never bleed through the pages.

I also write down a schedule of blog posts that I am writing both here and on my personal blog.

Then I plug in my dinner plan for the week. I don’t know where I would be without planning out my meals! I only know that I would be very hungry (or hangry) and completely stressed out!

I use tabs that can be found in the planner kits to keep track of weekly goals that I am working on. Right now, I’m trying to build some healthy habits for myself and want to keep track of actually accomplishing them. On each week day (because I give myself lots of grace on the weekends!) I have a place to mark off doing my daily Bible Study, walking, completing a Barre 3 workout and tracking my meals in My Fitness Pal. I just check these off as they are completed each day.

The very last thing I do after everything I written down in my planner is decorate! This may be the last step for me, but it’s the most fun part!! I love putting in motivation quotes, arrows pointing to my “to-dos” and fun accents!

As promised here’s some planner kits that would be so fun to use in planning and decorating your weekly planner layout:

24/7 Printable Planner Collab

Joyful Planner Holiday Edition

Paper Mail: Planner Kit

Let’s Plan: December Bundle

This is a great time to start thinking about how you want to plan in the upcoming year! I hope this leaves you motivated and inspired to begin planning your weeks.
