Template Tuesday | May 2021 Challenge

Hello scrappy friends and happy Tuesday!! Today I am excited to share with you a layout I created using this month’s challenge template.

I had so much fun playing with this template!!

Any time I am creating with a template that is outside my scrappy comfort zone, I start by first placing my photos and then hiding all of the extras so that I can get a feel for what I really want to place on the layout to fit my personal style.

Here’s what my layout looked like when it was pared down to just background paper, photos, photo frames, stitching and a few marks.

Then I went to town playing and adding elements to compliment my photos and create a theme. In this case, I wanted to theme my layout around the relationship between my husband and myself. We are best friends and truly have lots of fun together. I used the This is Us collab elements and papers for this layout.

Here is my finished layout. I had fun being a bit more artsy and “freeform” than is my usual style, adding lots of paint, paper strips and and fun bits and pieces.
