Happy Tuesday everyone! I’m just dropping with a quick tip for playing with paint elements on digital templates. Don’t you just love the look of a splashy painted digital background? There are several digital templates in the TLP Store that have these types of elements in an alterable form. For example, take a look at this set by Cheryl of Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs:
I love all the painty goodness in the background! Ever wonder what to do with those types of template elements? I have several suggestions for coordinating those elements with the color scheme of your page:
1. Change the color with a Solid Color fill layer. When the color picker box appears, just click on a color on your page to transform it.
2. Clip a digital paper to the paint element. Be creative here and consider both patterned papers and solid papers.
3. Use the template paint elements as suggestions for placing paint elements from the digital kit you are using.
4. A combination of 1, 2 and 3! This is the method I chose for this page:
I hope you have fun exploring paint elements on digital templates and find some inspiration from my favorite techniques!
Until next time ~
