Hello pad scrappers!!!
I’m so excited about iNSD 2020 celebrations and events starting in just TWO days here at the pad! I have a list of goals and plans for my weekend that include lots of games, forum events, and SCRAPPING fun! The first thing on my list was to download the TLP Morning Rituals Collab kit part one that can be found on the NDS Blog Hop that starts here.
I thought it may be helpful for me to break down exactly what I do with a large collab kit like this and how I organize it to fit the way I scrap.
I am typically a kit scrapbooker, meaning that I am most comfortable scrapping from one kit instead of pulling supplies from lots of different places. And I like to have my kits organized into a Main Kit Folder with subfolders for each type of supply it contains. A huge collab kit such as the Morning Rituals kit can be a bit overwhelming, but getting everything organized helps me to use it for my own scrapbooking with ease.
Here are the steps I take in handling a large collab kit:
{1} After downloading all of the pieces, extract to a folder in my DigiScrap downloads folder. I have already premade a folder with the name of the kit. For example in this case, I created a folder named “Morning Rituals Part 1”.
{2} Create Subfolders inside this main kit for each type of supply it contains. I have subfolders for alphas, elements, journal cards, papers, sticker packs, templates, previews, and designer extras.
{3} Go through each extracted folder and move items to the correct subfolder.
{4} Delete any extra empty folders.
Here’s a look at the subfolders I created for the Morning Rituals Kit:
I’m sure there are lots of ways to do this, so I would love to hear if you have a different way that you like to organize your collab kits! Let me know in the comments below.
Be sure you download all of the pieces to the Morning Rituals collab kit part one before April 30th at 11:59 pm EDT and look for Afternoon Rituals and Evening Rituals in the shop as Free with Purchase kits during our National Scrapbooking Day celebrations, from May 1-4.
