November Project Parade Part 1 of 3
Hello and welcome to the November Project Parade! Our last parade (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3) was so much fun! We are thankful to be back this month sharing a Grateful theme! This month we are thinking ahead to the holiday season and taking some time to reflect on reasons to be thankful. This month we have even more parade excitement, and we are sharing the fun with you. This month you can recreate your own projects, like those seen in the parade. Just visit the November Project Parade category and shop for these products at a 20% discount.
Let the parade begin!
The parade starts off with an amazing Lilypad Designer Collab: Together.
Amber created this precious digital page using the collab. We love her mix of design elements as well as the precious family photo.
Amber shares a helpful photo editing tip: The original photo was taken on a super hot July 4th. So we are wearing bright red white and blue, totally didn’t match the colors of this fun collab, so I changed the photo to a ‘heritage’ black and white as the sepia tones blend perfectly with the warm fall tones of the papers.
Next up is a very gorgeous kit, Lifetime Stories by Etc. by Danyale.
Lili created this sweet digital page using Lifetime Stories. The shadow work is incredible. This can be achieved by placing shadows on separate layers in photo editing software, then warping the shadows to add varying depths, as you would see in traditional scrapbooking.
As the parade continues, we see the stellar Better Together kit by One Little Bird.
Lori created these adorable decorative blocks. Lori shares: “I made this Thanksgiving decor using 2″ craft blocks. I stained them and then decoupaged squares of patterned paper on all 6 sides. On one side of the blocks I added letters to spell thankful, and the opposite side spelled out blessings so they offer flexibility.”
Lori’s Tip: I used an ink jet printer to print my papers. To keep the ink from bleeding when I decoupaged them onto the blocks, I first sprayed them with an acrylic sealer.
Next on the parade route is Giving Thanks by Laurie Ann.
Farrah created this beautiful decorative wooden sign. We love the clips along the bottom, which makes changing and arranging the tags an easy task.
November Storyteller – SVG Cutting Files by Just Jaimee is next on the parade.
Lori created a cover for a grateful journal that is in progress. She says: “I used the SVG files, which I cut out on my silhouette cameo, as a mask. With a bit of misting spray and some physical products added, the cover is complete.”
Lori’s Tip: Once the cut pieces are removed from the page, they will be saved and used inside the journal. This serves as double duty from one cut file.
The next product on the parade is Gathered In Papers by Amber LaBau.
Trista altered some rolodex cards using papers from Gather. Trista suggests: “To easily maintain a long term project, think small scale. It is much more manageable to commit to decorating 30 rolodex cards than it is to decorate 30 8×8 sheets of cardstock.”
Giving Thanks by Kate Hadfield is up next on the parade.
Amber created this wonderful digital page, which includes a list of things for which to be thankful.
Fall for the Autumnal Bundle by Allison Pennington as we glance at the next product on the parade.
Melanie created this lovely fall inspired digital layout. Framing a photo with a white border will give it focus.
Ash Tree Words and Numbers by Sara Gleason is coming up next.
Farrah created this awesome cover for a 3o days of gratitude album.
The Gratitude Word Art by Sahlin Studio is the perfect fit for adding sentiments to photos.
Sarah created this pocket page using Autumnal, Ash Tree Words and Numbers, and Gratitude Word Art.
Sarah shares: “Using word art is a great way to add fun details to your pocket scrapping. I love using stamps on top of my photos and the word strips added just the right sentiments to my page.”
Next up on the parade is Gather Frames and Tabs by Sara Gleason.
Trista altered even more rolodex cards using Gather Frames and Tabs. Trista says: “Add embellishments to printed rolodex cards for added texture and interest.”
Dear To Me by Forever Joy Designs is the next goodie on the parade.
Amanda created this adorable digital layout with Dear To Me. Align journal text to the right to create visual interest.
Thank you for following along with the parade. Stay tuned for the rest of the parade to come throughout the rest of the month!
