June Challenges

Hello everyone! It’s Polly Karen back again to give you a quick overview of all the new challenges for June. Each month we have 8 brand new challenges that are posted in the forum Challenge Pad on the 1st day of the month. (the BYOC Challenge is posted on the 1st Friday of the month.) You can use the challenges simply to inspire you to keep creating new layouts OR you can also earn yourself a fabulous coupon for your next shopping trip in the Lilypad Store. (2 challenges = 10%, 4 challenges = 20% and 6 challenges = 30%). Those who complete at least 7 challenges will be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate! Isn’t that an awesome prize?!?! You’ll get lots of great memories captured in your scrapbooks AND you could win a fat gift certificate prize!!! Pretty great, right?! So let’s take a look at this month’s new batch of challenges!
1. Journaling Challenge – The first challenge up for June is the Journaling Challenge hosted by Natasha (bcnatty). Natasha is challenging you to create a layout with journaling about something you’ve missed because of the current pandemic. Natasha created this beautiful layout about her daughter missing out on her senior prom:
2. Photography Challenge – The next challenge, the Photography Challenge, is hosted by Lori (lcpereyra) and she would like to challenge you to take a photo of something that brings you peace and a bit of serenity. Here is a layout from Lori with a photo that she calls “serenity now”:
3. Inspiration Challenge – Ashley (ashleywb) is hosting the Inspiration Challenge for June and would like you to create a layout that includes something inspired by mosaics. Ashley has several great mosaic photos in the forum thread for inspiration. She also created this awesome layout with a mosaic sunshine:
4. Template Challenge – Em (Justagirl) is hosting the Template Challenge for June. The challenge is to use the free template supplied by NBK Designs and create a layout using it. Here’s a look at the free template followed by a sample that Em created:

5. Style Challenge – The fabulous Anne (AnneofAlamo) is hosting June’s Style Challenge and she want you to go big or go home… with a photo on your layout. Anne wants you to pick a great photo and fill the background with it and then scrap a layout on top! Here a great example layout that Anne created:
6. Random Challenge – Next up we have the Random Challenge hosted by Heather (HeatherB). Heather would like you to create a layout and use at least 3 different brushes from at least 3 different products on your page. Here a great sample layout that Heather created:

7. Scraplift Challenge – This month’s Scraplift Challenge is hosted by Christa (cfile) and she chose the very talented the entire Pollywog Gallery to scraplift from in June. Simply go to The Pollywog Team Gallery and find one layout you love and then create your own scraplifted version. Christa found a great layout in Ona’s (wombat146) gallery and then scraplifted it:

Challenge Galleries: (post your pages to these galleries)
There you have your at-a-glance overview of this month’s brand new batch of challenges. Once you create your own layouts inspired by these challenges, be sure to post them to the appropriate galleries as listed above. Then be sure to also post them to the appropriate thread in the challenge forum. See the thread HERE for further challenge guidelines and see the June Challenge Pad HERE to get started! Don’t forget to post all of your completed layouts in the Challenge Layouts thread so we can be sure to get you the proper coupon at the end of the month. I’ll be back near the end of the month to shine my spotlight on some of the pages created for these challenges! I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Happy scrapping!
