Can you believe that it is June already? Half of the year is gone!!! Besides it being June, it is also time for another month of challenges! I wanted to host the Scraplift challenge this month, and thought it would be fun to scraplift a Polly! It is real simple!! Choose a Polly and have fun perusing through their gallery, choosing a page to scraplift. If you take a look at the PollyWog Gallery, you can choose a polly and page to scraplift from there, or if you are not sure who all the Polly's are, once you spot a page there, you can go and directly look at the particular Polly's gallery. However you choose to pick your Polly to lift, just have fun with it. I will say, it is going to be hard to choose a page to scraplift, as there is a multitude of gorgeous pages there!!! As I went looking through Ona's (wombat146) gallery, I found this lovely page of hers called Recorded. I loved the blending of the photos of the castle and flowers into the background and it immediately reminded me of my vacations to the UK & Ireland, so of course I had to choose that page to lift! Here is my page: Remember our monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the June Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I can't wait to see which Polly you will lift, and how the Polly Galleries inspire you!
I'm scraplifting this lovely layout from EllenT. She has so many layouts that appeal to me. I was struck by the grid on Ellen's layout and adapted the idea for my own layout.
Love this LO by Christa, and knew as soon as I saw it, I was going to lift it: I like the flowers from Kim Jensen so much I put them on my wish list, but made do with some facsimile in the meantime. Credits: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/scraplift_06-20_spring-flowers.435762/ 2. Style
I chose this one by @wombat146. I really like the big photo of face and the blending. Here's mine - this is my granddaughter
I lifted this one of Anne's. I liked the look of the vertical photo designs and horizontal narrow border. I went with 4 pics and included my narrow border at the top & bottom of my page. Plus my photos were also taken outdoors, in the woods, and you can see a bit of our creek in the 2 photos on the right. Here is mine:
The Polly I scraplifted from is @KarenB , her page is called Hungry mouths. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/hungry-mouths.435694/ For this page I used A Pennington and J Barrette's Social Butterfly. Paula Kesselring's Photograph frames 8.
When I saw this layout.... it screamed my daughters personality. I'm scraplifting "Hello"by keepscrappin And here's my take on this.
I am going to lift this beautiful page by @KarenB - I love the subtle dimension and quietness of the layout! here is my page:
