Journaling Idea: Using Photo Prompts for Journaling
Hi pad scrappers!!
I recently participated in a self-portrait challenge on Instagram. Each day had a photo prompt (feet, hands, face forward, full body, half face, and eyes closed). I took a selfie photo using these prompts and wrote about my thoughts on the challenge on my instagram feed.
I’m now working my way through using those photo prompts and the journaling I wrote to create scrapbook layouts. Today I’m sharing my first one using the prompt: Feet.

This prompt was a little different as I decided to take three photos instead of one.
I cropped these photos into squares and created my layout, using room for journaling under the photos. I used a typewriter font to write out my journaling.
I pretty much took my journaling for this from my instagram post. Using social media posts for your journaling is a great way to incorporate journaling into your layouts…I do this fairly often! I’m looking forward to putting layouts together for each of the photo prompts in this challenge.
To create the layout, I used April is for Sowing Seeds by Little Butterfly Wings. It is my plan to use this kit for all of these layouts for cohesion.
If you’re looking for ideas for journaling in your layouts, looking at photo prompts and using social media are two techniques that are so helpful and natural!
