January 15: Paper Blending (Technique Challenge)

Blended a textured gesso paper with 2 copies of street map paper, and a photo I took at Twin Peaks, all using vivid light and adjusted opacity.

I blended two papers from Lynn Grieveson's Coco kit, a stripe and torn paper with a field of white.

This challenge was right up my alley. First I clipped a paper to a mask. Then I used multiply to make it blend better into the canvas.

I blended 3 papers and changed the blend mode for the middle paper and the top paper. I used Storyteller November 2016 Collection by Just Jaimee.

Blended papers are:
first paper: solid in purple no. 6
middle paper: pattern paper no. 4 (map / world globe)
top paper: pattern paper alt no. 3 with handwriting

I also blended the black/white paint on the left, the checkered paper under the picture and the frame/stacked mess at the edge of the layout. It's all under the top blended paper.

Ok I went a little nuts ; blended 2 papers 1 from Alison penningtons summer nights, and Amy Wolffs pretty planks, the pretty planks I blended twice; 1 as saturation, and 1 as hard light . Both on the background. The arrow is blended with another plank from Amy,( soft light ) and the butterfly and paint have various degrees of opacity and also I think difference ( not sure )..

Fun challenge, Rae! I blended two papers for the background edges, then blended the photo with a wooden paper, plus more blended goodness for the Aggie heart at the top! :D

Thanks for the challenge! I used the overlay as a mask to blend the papers and then reduced the opacity of the printed paper to show some of the woodgrain.

Okay, so I used a solid aqua paper, created a gradient mask to cut the polka dot-ish paper with and set the polka dot paper to a 68% burn. :)

I blended the two background papers by using the "screen" blending function. Love this technique :)

Admittedly, blending is not my favorite technique to use. But I like how the background turned out. Blended two papers from Gina Miller's Sleigh Bells paper pack

Blended 3 background papers together - used multiply and soft light blending modes.

I blended 4 papers - layer 2 used overlay, layer 3 used hard light, and layer 4 changed opacity to 27%
