January 15: Painted Edges

This is something I really enjoyed, but truly need to play with more to get better at. I brushed the edges of my photo, but after looking through the thread, I think I would have had an easier time with a larger item like my background paper. Will definitely try this again!

@Bagheertje @jenn mccabe
Thanks for posting screenshots from newer versions of PSCC. I was at work when I posted my screenshot -- I have a 2015 version of PSCC (I assume we have some bulk licensing agreement so we don't have the latest and greatest). My version at home looks the same as what you posted.

Super challenge and the pages are just stunning. FUN.
On mine I was going for a worn look with the paint in the two upper left papers and lower right paper.

I painted the edges of the large photo mat with 2 different colors. This will be something I definitely try again.

For PSCC users looking to get all the Legacy Free Brushes - they are there just hidden. I don't know know why Adobe keeps doing this. But this should help:

thank you so much now have the brushes including the one mentioned in the video

by any chance do you know how to fix the drop shadow bug in cc - know others said they reverted back to older version but being on an extended trial dont want to do that.

I too want information on CC shadow bug. How do you go back to an earlier version? It is driving me crazy.

Got carried away in a strange direction!

I started painting the raised edges of the gesso, and pretty soon it was all painted, as if the light were running out of the photo onto the background. So I added the title and painted those edges too.

For us Artisan Users - Possible way to create this. (*edit - note, I used SBC4, so may be different for other versions)
1. Click on item to be painted
2. Open "Format Photos" and click on "Touch-up"
3. Select "Paint" and choose color. Change brush size and brush pressure".
4. Then, start brushing the edges. Change size and pressure as needed.

Hey Meagan... Been watching you... Nice to see you here... and see you jumping in and helping....Welcome to the Lily Pad....
