@bcgal00 I was a bit apprehensive about the earlier version of this layout, so I added another layer of paint and a glitter style to make it more obvious that the edges of the roses had been painted.

I started off by do the upper photo with a brown brush and it really didn't stand out, so I also did the photo mat on the bottom photo.

I never use my own brushes on my layouts, but I sure like the effect! Thank you so much for this inspiring challenge!
In my layout I've painted the edges of the wooden frame, the "crisp & Lovely" tag and the background paper that is visible at the bottom half.
