Having just celebrated Christmas and New Years, I bet there are lots of favorites to remember from the holiday season. Why not document them in a layout, so you’ll always remember? You can document in point form, list form or journal in a story form. The more info you can include, the better, as it will really help to refresh your memory in years to come, as you look back, but if you are like me though, a list form or point form is easier to put together. I have a terrible memory so I find it helpful to list some key points, then later I will add more journaling, if it jogs my memory, with more detail.
Popular favorites to document include:
- holiday
- celebration
- weekend activity
- trip
- summer vacation
- season
I scrapped this holiday page and added a few favorite things from the trip.
For a more personal page, document some of your faves right now, which is always fun to look back at, as your tastes and preferences change from year to year.
- reading
- movies
- clothing
- food
- games
This page documents my favorite choices from a nearby gluten-free bakery I discovered recently.
In the new year, I hope to create more AAM (All About Me) pages, documenting lots of my favorite things but also comparisons of previous favorites, and also comparisons with other family members. Documenting childhood favorites can be a fun trip down memory lane too. Other personal favorites could include:
- nail polish color
- haircut
- shoes
- song/lyrics
- joke
- gift
- pajamas
The more I think about it, the more ideas I come up with. If you are anything like me, these thoughts can come and go, so if you can, jot the ideas down. A two page spread would be fun to create, then and now pages, or his and hers pages.
