Hello scrappy friends!!
So much of our lives are taking place virtually right now. My whole family has been using Zoom for classes, yoga workouts, meetings and meet-ups with friends. I recently discovered that you can customize your own virtual background on Zoom. I’m excited to share how to do that with you today!
I created the above background to test this out and to use on Zoom myself. I do want to give out a disclaimer, though…virtual background work best if you have a solid color background, preferably a GREEN solid color background.
Follow these instructions to use your own virtual background to use on zoom:
- Enable the Zoom backgrounds feature in your account settings.
- Log into the desktop application and click on the settings icon in the top right corner.
- Under the Virtual Background tab, you can choose from stock options or upload an image via the + icon below the video feed.
- The background you select will be applied when you next log into a video conference.
I created the above background using Promise of Spring kit from Mommyish.
The background you create needs to have a 16:9 aspect ratio to work on most laptops. Two suggested sizes are 1280 x 720 pixels and 1920 x 1080 pixels.
My husband’s office is having a social on Zoom tomorrow with a contest on who has the coolest Zoom background…how fun is that!!??
Have fun putting your digi supplies to a whole new use creating a custom background for you or your kids to use during video conferences!
