12 Must Take Fall Photos

Hello friends!!

The official start of fall is just days away and I sure am longing for cooler temps and the cozy feel of fall weather. I’m also ready for all the photos that are taken and memories that are made during the fall season. Today I am sharing with you twelve must take fall photos that I am looking forward to capturing.

//one// Tree with Colored Leaves

One of my favorite things about fall is the beautifully colored leaves on the trees. Make sure you get photos of a tree with colored leaves. You can even document a favorite tree as it is in the process of changing and losing its leaves.

//two// Pile of Leaves

While we’re on the topic of leaves, I absolutely love photos of those leaves raked into a pile and ready to be jumped into.

//three// Front Door

I just have to decorate my front door with a new wreath for each season. I have a teeny tiny entrance in my new home, but you can bet there’s a fall wreath on my door. Make sure to snap a photo of your front door all decorated for fall.

//four// Halloween Costumes

I love photos of my kids in their Halloween Costumes. If you don’t have children who are still dressing up for Halloween, find a “punny” costume and dress up yourself or capture photos of your neighbors and friends’ kids in their costumes this Halloween.

//five// First Frost

I cannot wait for colder temperatures to get here!! I’m documenting the moment of our first frost this year because it definitely marks a change in the seasons.

//six// Pumpkins

Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere!!! Snap a photo of a huge pumpkin on display or at a custer of them at a pumpkin patch.

//seven// Cozy Sweater/Blanket

Get a selfie or have someone take a photo of you all wrapped up in your favorite cozy sweater or blanket, maybe even with a warm drink nearby or in your hands.

//eight// Fall Sunset

Ah, nothing beats the beautiful colors of a fall sunset!!!

//nine// Thanksgiving Food

Make sure to get photos of your favorite foods at Thanksgiving, take a photo of your table set for the main eating event of the year, and of your family all gathered around to enjoy your bounty.

//ten// Crisp Apple Closeup

I’m not sure if I’m a bigger pumpkin or apple fan….it has to be a close tie! Make sure to get a photo of a crisp apple. I love going to an apple orchard in the fall and getting photos as we pick them off the trees.

//eleven// Boots

Grab a photo looking down on your favorite fall boots now that you can wear them again.

//twelve// Football or other Fall Sports Game

Fall is a great time for enjoying sports. Make sure to grab photos at your favorite fall sporting event.

I hope this has sparked some photo-taking inspiration for you this fall!! I can’t wait to see all the photos you take this season in your layouts!
