Hi scrappy friends!! It’s Monica here with a fun list for your summer scrapbooking.
Summer is a special time of year for many people since the pace of life is so different. It’s the time when we typically take vacations and have a more relaxed schedule. Today I’m sharing a list of ten memories for you to scrapbook this summer.
{one} Summer Reading
Many of us, including myself, are able to read more in the summer season. There are lots of lists out there for summer or beach reads. These books are usually a little lighter and easier to get through quickly. You can scrapbook a list of the books you read this summer in one layout at the end of the season or mane a mini-album of all of your summer reading.
{two} Vacations
Summer is the typical time many families set aside for family vacations. Make sure to take lots of photos on your vacations and scrap those special memories of your time together!
{three} Travel
Whether it’s a short day trip or a long road trip traveling is something we do more of in the summer as well. You can document a map of your route, your favorite landmarks along the way, road signs you found interesting, and rest stops on the journey. I like to include photos of my kids and their set up in the car as we’re traveling. It’s also fun to include a photo of your car snacks. My kids and I are leaving today for a trip to visit my family in another state and I’m looking forward to making a layout of our trip.
{four} Beach
I grew up close to the beach and I love looking at beach photos. This is something that is unique to the summer season and is a must-have for your summer scrapbook.
{five} Day in the Life
Since our pace of life can be so much different from our pace during the school year, it’s a great idea to scrapbook a day in the life layout or a mini-album of a typical summer day. You can include your schedule and photos of what you’re doing at different times of the day. It would be great to also do a layout comparing this to a “regular” day.
{six} Weather
What is your summer weather like? We moved from a location that was dry and hot (with temperatures reaching into the 100s) and now live in a place that is hot and humid. Take a screenshot of the weather forecast or your high and low temps on a summer day and scrapbook a layout about that!
{seven} Kids camps
Many kids spend a week or more at camps experiencing something different during the summer. Make sure you grab photos of their time at camp and include that in your summer album!
{eight} Holidays
There are several holidays that are unique to the summer season that you’ll want to scrapbook. These include Memorial Day, Father’s Day and the 4th of July. Make sure you take photos and scrapbook your memories of these special days.
{nine} Summer Food
Mmmmm…the foods of summer are some of my favorites! What are your favorite foods of the summer season? For me, they include lots of fresh fruit and all the things that would be included in a summer cookout. Make a layout of these summer foods.
{ten} Summer Activities
There are so many activities that we look forward to enjoying in the summer season. Some of these include trips to the pool, running through the sprinkler, taking walks, and going to local festivals. These would be great to include in your summer album or as a summer themed layout.
I hope that your summer is filled with lots of fun creating special memories! What would you add to this list of summer memories to scrapbook?
