It’s Polly katrinahunt13 here on the blog today sharing another hybrid project with you! Yes, I want you to get excited about hybrid and at least try it!
One of the things I envy with digital scrapbooking is the way you can get so many pictures on a page and they look good and not cluttered! As I was looking at the BYOC for October (psst….go now and look at it, it’s AMAZING!) I saw some photo collage templates by Paislee Press. As soon as I saw them, I knew they would be great for a hybrid scrapbooking page!
I just fell in love with the Addendum|Collage templates when I saw them and I knew they would get lots of use in my hybrid world. They are super easy to use for a beginner Photoshop girl like me, which I loved. If you know how to do clipping, you are set! Open the template in Photoshop, drag in your picture and clip to the photo area that you want it in. I wanted to use the Amber LaBau Cozy collection. It was easy to tie the collection into the template by using some of the papers in the open spots. This also allowed me to decorate on top of the areas also!
One of the neat things that caught my eye on the templates was a designated spot for journaling and a title! I actually started to use one of the templates without that option, but then I took another look and decided that it would change up my page a little to use it. I did do everything in lower case, those aren’t typos!
Then I used lots of the embellishments from the Cozy kit to tie everything together. I did use an actual paper doily, twine and some enamel dots from my traditional scrapbooking stash, but I love how my page turned out!
I love when I get excited about creating, finding new things to get excited about to create with and incorporating them into my process. So, try something new and have fun! You never know what you will fall in love with!
