Trend Watch – Big and Bold

TLP-TW-boldBig and Bold! Two of my favorite adjectives put together! Pages that get attention like no other!  Even people that are quiet and shy can pour out the wild BIG and BOLD stripes, chevrons and colors too!  Plus there are some fun sales just for the Trend Watch BIG and BOLD challenge going on now!

Take a little step with a BIG photo and have a side of BOLD.  Cut some shapes from BIG and BOLD patterned papers or add some Big and Bold elements. I love the height the circles have on this page, the shadows bring them way out and make it an eye catcher too!

 Maybe take a big step, and find the wildest and most BIG and BOLD background, and then pop a photo on it and play around the photo.  Or you can go the other way, cluster and play around the photo, and then do the POP of a BIG and BOLD background paper. 

Too-Hot

 You can also go all out and just go complete BIG and BOLD everywhere! Load up your page with everything!! It is fun! REALLY!  Going photoless can help you remember a conversation forever.

I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.

My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.

Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
