Ahh summer… a time when cool blue waters beckon, lounge chairs entice us to nap in the shade, and lazy days lengthen into long, warm evenings. Who wants to be in the house glued to a computer screen?! Oh, you do, too? Well, then this post is for you. I found this lovely beach umbrella photo on Pinterest, and decided to try my hand at whipping up a quick color palette (don’t laugh!). You can view the full color palette generated by this image here. I thought the colors were so warm, relaxing, and peaceful!
What a great idea, to create a wind chime or mobile out of found objects! Save all those seashells, pretty rocks, and other beachy finds, do a little simple wire-wrapping, and you have a personalized, memory-filled home decor piece. I also see some layout design inspiration in this photo… maybe a nice, linear design? Or a “found object” layout?
