Every Wednesday, (late Tuesday if you have the newsletter) a big sale of 50% off happens.  It is called Something Old, Something New (SOSN). The amazing designers here at the Lily Pad bring in some of their older designs and occasionally new things pop in also. The best is getting these fun things at half off! They are all stand along kits, papers or separates by each individual designer.  You can for a smaller amount of money really build your stash of scrapping finds.

Many scrappers find themselves as ONE kit equals ONE page.  Today, I want to use groups of the designs that are on sale right now (did I mention 50% off) and show how you can use them to create a page even though they are not of same colors, or theme.

Using the Paint Textures by Lynn Grieveson to take paper from Allison’s Autumn Aesthetic was fun.  Playing with blend modes! Frames from the same kit along with the white frame from Pink Reptile’s Pure&Simple element pack (along with many others) brings it all together.

Grabbing four more amazing designs included in the sale today:

Kim’s Phrames are really easy to play with and come with a cool date collection that is true retro.  The fun fogs in Witchy Poo kit are indeed in both these colors and something I will remember to use again in non Halloween pages! The multi colors (full alphas-Capitals and lowercase) in Pink Reptile’s Pure& Simple make titles stand out.  In the background Lynn Grieveson’s Worn Edges (the star) draws your eye.  These each come with a sized to match matt to use as is or attach photo or paper.

The last group is a full kit, paper set, and element groups along with 2 different sets of frames:

The papers from Pure&Simple by PRD are blended into the photo, and the frames from Tin Liddie are used as elements, almost like a collection of funky! grabbing coordinating elements from Allison’s Autumn Aesthetic (coolio name) and  Lynn’s Now is the Time kit to fill the Tin Liddie frames.  Then pop on The Against the Grain frames from Kim to bring it all together.
