Pollywog Spotlight!!!
If you have been following the blog, you might have noticed that we had been spotlighting our designers here at the pad on Fridays. Well, we’ve run thru the list of them once, so we are taking a little break to spotlight some CT Pollys!!! I think it will be fun to get to know some of the people behind all of the great LO’s in the gallery! If you’ve been hanging around our forums you’ve likely already gotten to know many of the Pollys thru the random “getting to know you” postings!
First off we are spotlighting “Renee82“! 
Renee has 114 photos in her gallery (at the time I checked her status)! She is almost at the 3000 comments mark!!! Woot Woot Renee!!! She is super sweet and very active here at the pad! Renee has been on the Lilypad creative team for about 2 years now! She is one of our Canadian (French Canadian at that!) CT memebers, and she has two cute little boys and a fantastic husband! It’s always so fun for me to look thru her gallery because I adore her style of scrapping! Word has it that Renee even has a LO that got picked for an upcoming issue of a pretty big scrapbooking magazine!!! I have decided to ask Renee a few questions so that we can all get to know her a little bit better!
1. how did the whole ‘digital scrapbooking’ start with you?
Back when I was pregnant with my first son (2005) I toyed with the idea of paper scrapping. I even bought supplies! But most people who know me, know that I am not crafty in any way. After my son was born, I just didn’t even know where to start. The papers, and the tools and all the embellishments scared me. But I wanted to make a birth annoucement and stumbled across a digital scrapbooking site and a light went on. And I never looked back!
2. When and where do you do your scrapping?
Usually at my dinning room table after the kids go to bed.
3. What is your biggest challenge when it comes to scrapbooking digitally?
hmmmm… I guess just falling into a rut at times. But I guess that’s how it is with anything!
4. Who is your scrapping idol?
Oh boy! Seriously??? hmmm… well, I feel kind of silly admitting this but I will have to say Gina Miller. Gina was one of the first designers I ever bought from and this was very long time ago. I ALWAYS loved her pages and her designs. I still do to this day. I even made my way onto her creative team a while back and that was so awesome! But I do have to say that I have met so many wonderfully talented scrappers over the years and I think I draw inspiration from many of them.
5. What is your favorite meal?
Pizza!!! All the way!
6. What’s the most exciting thing you did in the last month?
Two weeks ago, I got to meet Steven Page who is the former lead singer of the Barenaked Ladies! It was very cool. The uncool part was that my best friend and I happened to walk right past him on our way to the restaurant and we said NOTHING. We were total losers. So we redeemed ourselves and waited to meet him after the concert. We got pics and he signed our tickets. It was fun!
