Bits & Pieces | The March Recap (But Better)

March has been a full one around here—in the best kind of way.

We wrapped up our Love Our Designers event, and I just want to say thank you. The support, the creativity, the way this community shows up—it never goes unnoticed. You all made it something really special.

And just like that, we rolled right into our Retirement Sale… which is now in its final hours. If you’ve had your eye on something, this is your last chance to grab those goodies before they officially head off into retirement.

Behind the scenes, there’s been a quiet shift happening too.

As I’ve transitioned more into operations this year, I’ve been spending time refining how we show up—especially on social media. You may have already noticed a few changes. We’re working toward a more cohesive, intentional look and feel across our platforms, with a bigger goal in mind: to grow our community, welcome new designers, and continue building a space that inspires storytelling, creativity, and connection across all the ways we craft.

It’s a bit of a refresh. A bit of a realignment. And honestly… a little bit of fun.

We’re also excited to welcome Beth as a permanent Blog Polly—we’re so happy to have her officially on board!

And as you’ll start to see in April, we’ll be welcoming our first round of Guest Pollys, who earned their spots during Month of Challenges. We’re excited to have them join us and can’t wait for you to see what they create as they get settled into their guest roles.

And of course… International Scrapbooking Day is right around the corner, which means we’re gearing up for all the fun, inspiration, and just the right amount of creative chaos that comes with it. Stay tuned—there’s more to come there.

A Little Bit of Life Lately

On the personal side of things, life has been moving right along.

We’ve officially stepped into spring—that season where everything starts waking up again—and I’ve found myself doing a little of the same. It’s been a time to reflect, reset, and think about what kind of growth I want to lean into next.

Recently, with the move, I’ve found a little spot that’s quickly become mine—a quiet beach just a few minutes from my house. It’s the place I go when life feels a little too loud. To just sit, breathe, get my toes in the sand, and watch the sunset stretch across the bay.

There’s something about that kind of pause… it does wonders for the soul.

So don’t be surprised if you start seeing a few more glimpses of that slower side of life—hikes, local markets, craft fairs, art shows… and yes, probably a food festival or two, because we all know I’m not skipping the food.

And in true “mom life” fashion, I have a junior attending prom… and she is very excited. I, on the other hand, would just like to successfully obtain photos this time.

Because apparently, in today’s world, teens love taking pictures—they just don’t love letting mom take them. I don’t know when that became a universal rule, but here we are.

If anyone has figured out how to be granted official photographer access, I’m all ears. 😄

March was full, a little fast, and full of forward movement.
April’s already waiting… and it’s bringing a lot with it.

I’m glad you’re here for it. 💛

  1. I feel the same about dance photos! I didn’t even get to see my daughter for her first dance because she got dressed at a friend’s house! Hopefully someone has figured out the trick.

  2. I have been known to resort to bribery for photos from my boys, especially at dances or other big life events! Sometimes I got lucky and see some on Instagram or one of the Mom’s would send me some.

  3. Beautiful spot it seems that you found 🙂 Tranquility is what is a great thing. Looking forward to seeing your photos. Re the prom photos, tell her you would like to take them so you will have momentos of her and her HS days down the road. 🙂 Look backs are the best. If you don’t take them she won’t have them later.
