If you’re a regular at The Lilypad, you know Anne. She’s welcomed you, encouraged you to chat and left love on your pages. The warmth and joy that shines from Anne is also evident in her scrapping style and gallery. She has a fantastically bold style, full of creative play with scale and colors. You also see the recurring theme of her deep love for her family. I encourage you to get inspired by Anne of Alamo this week! Her Polly Picks are 20% off in the store and she’s hosting our Polly Picks challenge as well.
Here’s what Anne says about her style, “Scrapbooking is more than memories to me, it is a love of art, creating and the process of getting there! The journey of creating a page is a a joy filled event. I love the deadline of an upcoming release, be it SOSN, or the awesome BYOC. I push myself to take the most awesomely made designs from the Lily Pad artists and bring in the photos our family created in the photos we all take into a page of fun and remembrance. My family and friends might not noticed the little details, stitching or stamps blended onto the paper, or that the alpha title is made with 5 different designers, but I do, and I love it! I try to make my pages different, but time and time again find myself reaching for that grungy paint, or extra 5 or 10 elements to cluster like a squirrel hording for the winter! I love the fun in scrapping! I believe you should find joy in all that you do,and never lose that joy!”
Anne’s use of scale in her clustering makes for high-impact composition.
Anne often uses word art to anchor the design of her page. If you haven’t tried this technique, browse through her gallery for a scraplift!
Anne’s style also transitions seamlessly to Art Journaling. Don’t you just love this page?!
