MPM Promise Hybrid Scrapbook Kit Project Share
Hi everyone, Sarah here to share what I did with the MPM Promise Hybrid Scrapbook Kit that I created a couple of weeks ago and shared here on the blog. After I had taken the time to put the kit together I found that the rest of the process went really quickly. I a matter of about five hours I was able to create a Pocket Scrapping Page, one 6″x8″ layout, three 12″x12″ layouts and two greeting cards. I’m really happy with the way everything turned out and can’t wait to create more hybrid kits like this in the future.

First I’m going to share with you the pocket scrapping page. These photos are from way back in 2012. I haven’t worked on this album in forever and I loved the little push this kit gave me to get some pocket scrapping completed.

I created this 6″x8″ page to go into a Simple Stories Snap! album that I’m creating for my daughter to celebrate her first year of being a teenager. She’s 15 now, so another project I’m happy to have been inspired to revisit.

Next is a 12″x12″ layout that I did of my daughter’s Halloween Costume when she was five. Even though I am only working with 8″x10″ printed papers I was able to cut the floral paper down into two strips and hide the seam under the photos to give the illusion of a full 12″ strip.

My next 12″x12″ layout is another of my daughter. This is from a few years later when she was trying on her flower girl dress for her aunt and uncle’s wedding. For this one I used the full 8″x10″ sheet of printed paper. I was also able to use a scrap of the pink and gold paper that I had used as a mat in the previous layout to frame this photo.

The final layout that I created with the kit showcases a photo that my daughter took of my husband and me, again when she was five. The journaling around the photo mat talks about the photo and how I’m glad she wanted to take our picture. I had fun playing with layers and really love how the vellum looks over the watercolor printed paper.

I also made two greeting cards to celebrate love which is definitely the theme of this collection.

I still have so much of this kit left, I’ll probably keep all of the printed stuff together for another day and maybe try to pair it with some new embellishments to see how much further I can stretch this kit. I loved working with a collection like this to create my kit because I was really able to pick and choose the papers and elements that I thought would work best for me. I’m excited about the end results and I will hopefully have more kit shares like this one in future blog posts.
