Memory Pockets Monthly September Collection: Composition!

Hello everyone!

It’s Polly Melanie here again for this month’s round up of everything happening in the world of Memory Pockets Monthly!

This is the 11th Memory Pockets Monthly collection! Can you believe it’s almost been a year?! What did we ever do before MPM? I can’t remember what scrapbooking was like without MPM!

Our talented Memory Pockets Monthly designers have created another fabulous collection. Designer Sara Gleason shared the designers’ behind-the-scenes inspiration in the forum this month. Here’s part of the inspiration for the Composition collection:

At it’s core COMPOSITION is a construct of combining parts into a whole — through design, construction, written word, music. As memory keepers and storytellers we are COMPOSERS. We weave together our memories and stories with words and photographs. We COMPOSE. We recollect and preserve the plot and the characters in this artful essay we create through our pages. It could be said that this work is our COMPOSITION.

And still another aspect of COMPOSITION and one that fits so well with many of our lives is those bits that play so nicely with starts of the school year. It harkens to days of writing compositions and using composition notebooks. Back to school themes, stories of learning…those things fit so nicely within the scope of COMPOSITION.

Here’s a peek at the beautiful main collection:

The colours! And look at these gorgeous add-ons! I don’t know how the designers do it. They are so talented and so full of ideas! I can’t say enough about them. Click on the image to see the add-ons for the Composition collection:

I’m so excited to be hosting the challenge this month in the MPM forum! Designer Amber LaBau has generously donated a gift card to her store as the prize. This month, I want you to scraplift a layout or pocket page in the MPM gallery! You might see a cluster in a layout that you want to use in a pocket page, or you might see something in a pocket page that you want to use in a larger layout. Or you can do a straight-up layout or pocket page scraplift! I used Susanne’s gorgeous layout as the inspiration for two 4×6 pockets:
