Make It Monday Christmas Card

Happy December!  Polly Robin here with another Make it Monday blog post.  Today I’m showing you how I made a really quick Christmas card.  Since I’m still preparing for sending out my Christmas cards, I needed another design that I could batch pretty easily.  I decided to use Memory Pockets Monthly add on, Jolly, by Designed by Soco.  It’s the companion to MPM Glow.  Both of these are on sale 50% off so it’s a great time to grab them for your cards!

I planned out my card in Photoshop as usual:

Then, I printed my background and matching solid papers.  I cut 3 die cuts for the word “Merry”, stacked them on top of each other to add dimension, then glued them to a piece of vellum.  After that, I stamped my sentiment under right under the word. I needed to attach my vellum piece to my card, and since I didn’t want any glue to show on the vellum, I only placed glue behind the letters like this:

You can see on the finished card that there isn’t any glue showing.

Since I used liquid book binding glue, that sentiment isn’t going anywhere!  Well, that’s all there is to this card.  I didn’t add anything extra since that gorgeous background paper really is the star of the show.  I hope you enjoyed this project and it motivates you to give hybrid a try.
