It’s the last day of July! Can you believe it?! In honor of this monumental day (there are, after all, only 12 last-days-of-the-month all year!), we thought it would be fun to spotlight some of the fabulous layouts that have found their way into our gallery during the month of July. When I signed up to take on today’s blog post, I thought this would be an easy and fun blog, but narrowing the field down to only a handful of layouts was no easy task at all! This gallery is full – FULL – of amazing talent!
My first pick is by rekneipp. I just love the flow of this layout from corner to corner, top to bottom. It’s just cram packed full of light-hearted freestyle fun that makes scrapbooking such a great outlet. And there is no denying that his shadow work here is amazing! I am a sucker for brilliant shadowing, and this page got me!
This next layout by Tracey Monetteis another layout that grabbed my attention right away! I love the vibrant colors with a little hint of retro. I love the oversized polaroid-style photo. She does a great job telling the story that is hidden under the surface of this photo. Great layout!
My next choice is a layout by Galina. What I love about her layout is the artistic style with which she approached her layout. It’s so whimsical and dreamy. Total eye candy!
One of my scrapping idols is Barb, aka bho. Her layout shown here is a perfect example of why she holds that status in my eyes! This layout is total amazingness! I swear this woman will never ever ever run out of over-the-top creativity! It’s a little unfair, really! :)
Love this next layout by Jenn Barrette. This page has such an understated ordinary-in-a-perfect-day-sort-of-way feel too it. I just love the way she has pulled the colors out of the photos and has used the patterned papers to balance and anchor the rest of her page. These are photos her girls will cherish as they grow older. I love that.
This layout by norton94, although touching on a sad subject, is also perfectly balanced by a genuine sense of love and security for her children. She uses the elements and papers perfectly to contrast the not-so-happy element of truth with how much she loves and supports them. This page is just wonderfully scrapped all the way around.
Love this next layout by interstitchal! It’s such a fun bit of scrapping to document this element of her life. Love the bold colors, the clean lines, and the focus on telling the story. Fabulous!
What a great layout by Christineirion! Love the grunge kit to showcase the black eye! Love the angle of the page! Love the close-up of the shiner! :)
Finally, this layout by AllisonPenningtonjust took my breath away. It’s so lovely with all its simplicity and clean lines. I adore the oversized word doodle. I love the clustering behind her photo. It’s all just gorgeously put together!
Well, there you have it! These are just SOME of the fabulous pieces of scrapping art that have breezed through the TLP gallery lately. Please take a minute if you can to stop by and leave some love! And keep posting those pages in the gallery! Maybe next time it will be your page that we show off! Enjoy your last day of July! August and all that comes with it is just around the corner!
