Guest Feature: Sugarplum Paperie

One of the guests joining us for the month of August is Miss Nicole of Sugarplum Paperie. I’m so excited to be doing a feature on her, because she was actually my very first CT way back in 2008!! Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to send her any questions, so you’ll have to just be satisfied with seeing her gorgeous products. Hopefully, you will go check out her blog though, because she is seriously one of the sweetest girls ever!

Every guest at The Lilypad creates something for the BYOC and I absolutely /adore/ Nicole’s contribution this month! She named her coordinating paper pack and element pack best summer ever (how cute is that?) and they are both just gorgeous!

I’m in love with that fun stripey paper and that gorgeous floral patterned orange one!

And here are the coordinating elements! How adorable are those waves and goldfish?! I just love how soft and sweet and elegant Nicole’s elements are.

Finally, just a few days ago, Nicole and Miss Krista came out with this absolutely gorgeous collab! Can these two please just make /every/ kit together! LOVE this!

I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.

My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.

Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
