New Site Bug Report

I just joined today and have only posted a couple of times. After getting the first email for the alert on a post, I tried to stop those emails by going to alert preferences but saw no where to stop just the emails. I even went into regular preferences and took off every reference to receiving an email that I could. I'm still getting the emails for every little thing. So I have now unchecked every thing on the alert preferences page. Will this stop the emails? Will I still get the little alerts in red on the header though? I don't mind the alerts notice in the header, I just cannot have them come to my email. I can't have that happening when I'm at work as my phone goes off for every email I get!

Thanks!

@HavaDrPepper In your account profile, there are Preferences and Alert Preferences. The ones that control email are under the regular Preferences. You'll just need to uncheck the boxes that say send email. If you still want to receive the little alert notifications under the lightning bolt, you'll want to turn your Alert Preferences back on. Those do not send emails. I hope that helps! Let me know if you need any additional info!

It might be user error, but when I'm in the store I can't get the sort to work right. Even with "newest products first" selected, it shows me the oldest products first. I did try clicking on a different category, and then back to newest and it worked once, but not on a subsequent search.

It was wonky for me too. On Saturday, it was showing me recent first, but I couldn't search by product name. But it wasn't always a problem. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't

That's weird. I did turn all emails off but was still receiving them. Only way I could get them to stop was to turn all Alert Preferences off as well. I'll play with it a little more though.

Thanks!

not a bug report, but a suggestion, may signiture be a on/off option in conversations, it would make them so much better

@lmccandless Help me please! I can not see my page! This is my first page after the renovation of the site. I see my page in the gallery, but when I see her more, not see it. Also I can not delete or edit the page.

Now I have two identical pages in the gallery

I'm not sure if it's new or if it was never there. But I kinda miss a spell check function in the forum. I'm not English and even though my English is amazing :whistle sometimes I make mistakes. And that makes me feel stupid so I usually google the spelling of weird words (like change and chance, which is which? It's excruciating, which I also had to look up, I wrote that second c with an s). It would be so much easier if I could just click a button and my whole post would be spell checked. Anyhow, this might be too much of a fancy request but I'm sure there are more then just me that would appreciate it. (also had to look that up, wrote the first e as an i, see I really suck)

@elitka I've adjusted your permissions in the gallery and everything should look good for you now. You should be able to both view and edit. I'm sorry for the trouble there! Let me know if that works for you.

@berniek Spell check is still built it in. It just appears a bit differently. As you type, any word that is misspelled will have a red, wavy underline. If you right-click the word, you will see options for what spell check thinks is correct. Select it and it will automatically replace the word you previously typed.

Not for me? Does it have to do with using Chrome?

@berniek You just need to update your browser settings in Chrome. Please do the following:

1. Paste this into your browser field: chrome://settings/
2. Click "Show Advanced Settings"
3. Scroll down to Languages
4. Click the button that says "Language and Input Settings"
5. Click the "Add" button
6. Select English (United States)
7. Check "Use this language for spell checking"
8. Click "Done"

This will make the red wavy lines appear for you to indicate a word is misspelled in English.
