I blended two papers for the background. I used the transfers and paint from Wolf Moon for my clipping plus a leaf stem from Joyce Paul. I know it is dark but that is what worked for this photo.
ohhhh this was fun. i have used paints and masks before but never put so many together and used blending modes. thanks for the challenge
this was the best I could achieve...hope it is ok, In case some of you (whom I know don't still know me well,) I am scrapping in a very limited program, but still finding my way to see what I can make or not, all this techie stuff becomes difficult lt, I think I kinda got it here, but please, Jenn , let me know if necessary I ll have another go
That was fun! I think I have about 15 paints and the painted border that I clipped the photo to. Playing with the blend modes was super fun!
Such an interesting technique. Thanks for the instructions. Although I consider myself a clean and simple type gal, I did find I had to restrain myself to keep from adding other things to this layout but ultimately in order to let the masked photo take center stage I stayed with a pure white background and stop with just 2 elements.
My thoughts exactly! I *need* a template challenge today to occupy my mind. Our daughter flew out today for home and the hole she leaves by leaving is.... really, really, hard.
Thanks for this challenge, it was very interesting to try this! I usually use only one paint element for a mask.
