@Genniejoy,
@tinkerbell1112,
@pearkat and other Artisan users. I did this in Artisan 5 as a quick example.
1) Insert photos and line them up.
2) Right-click on photo, Effects, Edit. Then insert Mask effect, pick a mask from a kit or your computer, and apply the mask to change the shape of the photo. Use the Blend option to change the appearance of the photo - use a mask if you want. You can use multiple effects on a single photo.
3) You can also use filters to blend the edges and add effects.
I re-arranged the layers as I was working so ignore the layer panel in these screen shots. If you add the mask to the page, you can copy and then paste into the mask box. Having it on the page allows you to control the size and orientation of the mask before applying. You would could then delete the mask after you have used it or hide it.
Just using a mask on the photo. I just used one off the computer.
I used the mask in a blend effect first. I picked a blend option of dissolve. If you use a mask that is black, many of the blend options don't produce any results. If you add the mask to the page, fill it with color, and then copy/paste it into the blend area, you can get more results in the blend option. I then used the same mask to change the photo to match the blend option.
Lastly, I used a mask with edges on it from an art kit and changed the opacity. I then re-organized the photos so it was at the bottom, then the first example, then the dissolve example.
