This gift from my grandparents is not really an heirloom yet, but I will pass it on and hopefully it will stay in our family for many generations.
I had trouble with this challenge until I looked through my template folder and saw this pack from Fiddle Dee Dee. Inspiration sparked! My father used to read these books to us, especially Het Tovervisje which is a fairy tale about dwarves that lived in an upside down coffee pot (you could collect point with buying coffee beans to get the books) and that discovered there was a fairy fish in the sea that could give them everything they wished for. In the end, of course, it turned out that being happy with the little bit you have is always superior to wanting more and better and therefor never being satisfied. I found these books in the thrift shop a few years back and immediately knew I had to buy them, just for the memories of my late father reading these to me and my sisters.
Thanks for the nudge! There are many of these types of pages that I need to make. Day 7 - Heirloom by chai posted Jan 29, 2023 at 1:37 PM
Thanks for the challenge! It turned out so exciting for me! Journaling (google translation): At first I thought the challenge was kind of lame for me. I couldn't think of anything exciting that I wanted to do. I first thought of the crockery from Fredelsloh and started looking for photos where it might be on it. I came across very early pictures of my closet. From then on things got really fun! I went through all of Jutta's photo albums for pictures of the closet. Totally exciting, where he was in Sellefreid and how many different people and moments could be found. I would be interested to know when and where the history of this closet began. In any case, I really like it and am very happy to have it in my bedroom for so long. There are still stations missing between 1993 and 2022, so the gallery could certainly be expanded. I don't even remember when I got it. I don't think so as a teenager. Exciting research that prompted the challenge.
