You can do it. Take a look at some of the layouts. They are all over the place, some with photos, some without..It is a great opportunity to document the past. We're rooting for you.:circles

Seeing you enjoying your first Girl Scout camping trip brings back so many memories for me. You already know that I was in Girl Scouts throughout elementary school. There was no such thing as Daisies back then, so I was a Brownie in 2nd and 3rd grade and a Junior in 4th through 6th grades. My troop only camped outside once that I remember, but every year we did an overnight trip to the Boston Museum of Science. It was such a cool experience, to spend the entire night in the museum with other Girl Scout troops. I remember one year when we arrived early enough to secure our sleeping spots on the highly coveted glass bridge, overlooking the Charles River. We watched the lightning show, checked out all the exhibits, and enjoyed having the whole museum to ourselves. I liked being in Girl Scouts for many reasons, but I think it would have been worth it for the Museum of Science overnight alone!
 
Finally!! This was the hardest for me but it's a story I love to retell. So now it is in print so to speak.

 
It was fun retelling the story of this little bit of my husband's family heritage. It happened so recently, it was great to share it so soon after the store closed.

After 71 years, Lavon Jennings and Janith Wright (Aunt Janith) decided it was time to retire and to close Cliftons. Ever since Lavon was a little girl she worked at Cliftons, from her first job of picking up pins and washing hangers after school to her last job of co-running the store with her sister after Grandma Clifton retired. It was a bittersweet decision for both of them, but they both realized it was time to spend their remaining days enjoying family and grandkids. Customers bid fond farewell and wondered where they would be able to find their clothes. Designers like Jody asked why their family like, granddaughter Kelsey, didn’t want to run the business (Kelsey has gone to Market with Lavon for the past couple of years). Lavon told Jody that all of their family had other career aspirations, like Kelsey wanted to be a Patent Attorney. A liquidator came in and hosted drawings and customers tried to earn points to win prizes like a flat screen TV. Ogden City Counsel honored them with a proclamation thanking them for their contribution to Ogden City.
 
Thanks for the challenge! I don't have a lot of the photos from my childhood, but luckily Mum does, so I could share this story with photos to go with it! My word count was around 290.
