January 25th : Art Doll (Style Challenge)

Anyone else run into problems with the coupon code that was gifted to us in the template download? I can't get it to work and I am signed in

 

I'm calling her done. Our weather can't make up it's mind between spring-like and winter-like, so maybe a bit of a mix which seems to match my emotions right now and I just want to curl up with my cat.

 

*I chose the fall palette and music. It is my favorite season and reminds me of time spent with family.

 

Great challenge. I am inspired by the Spring color palette and Spring music about changing. The leaves of autumn helped inspire the theme and words of my layout.

so, this turned out to be way more fun than i first thought. my doll is about the musings of a Buffett Parrothead. If you are one you will catch all the subtle/ and not so subtle references to songs titles and lyrics.

i was inspired by summer palette, image and the music as well

I used the leaves from Autumn as my inspiration for the actual doll and Spring (looking forward) as my theme

 

oh girl...this was a real challenge! I'm not very artsy, hope this doll fits the challenge!!

 

Thanks for the challenge! I will admit I was a bit "Oh Nooooooooo" when I first saw it, but I have an open mind when it comes to MOC and I was actually looking forward to doing it. I hope it is ok that I turned the dolls away. I wanted them to represent my kids and trying to make faces just didn't work, so I used hair instead! I was inspired by Spring.
I absolutely can't wait to print this and hang it on their bedroom wall!!

I was inspired by winter (even though I used pink, I'm never not inspired to use pink)



I originally painted a watercolor galaxy background for this layout but chickened out when I wasn't sure it fit the rules of MOC, so imagine this layout with that instead of the navy fill.

 

I was inspired by the bright colors and possibilities of spring.


This was WAY outside of my comfort zone but I'm happy with my results!

 

The season I chose was Spring...the music reminds me of celebrations and joy.
