"Enjoying" 38º (100ºF) on this humid and hot January 2. It was sunny, then we have a tropical rain though we're not even near the tropics, temperature hasn't improved much better inside, but at least he got to enjoy his grandpa's new year gift.
Thanks for this challenge, I really enjoyed it. Here is what my Lantana looked like this morning. A bit cold and shrivelled , it is a summer bloomer after all, despite being evergreen .
I took this photo this afternoon in natural light with my iphone 8 in portrait mode. Thanks for the challenge. I'm not sure I would have thought to take a picture of this scene without it.
I changed my mind and didn't do the succulant. I dragged out my trusty Rebel, my prime 50 mm lens, a photography light, and played with my husband's Grandfather's Bead flowers.
Journaling:
Michael’s Grandfather worked in the garment industry in the early years of the 1900's. He was responsible for oiling the sewing machines that his company used to make fancy beaded evening gowns. When he retired, he used those beads to make hand made flower creations for the family. We are so very blessed to have these exquisite flowers that he made, and looking at them makes me feel as if I know a little piece of him. The creativity and patience he must have had to make these flowers tells me that he was a man I would have loved to have known.
Thanks for the challenge. I wasn't able to use my version of PSE but I do have the Snapseed App so I used that. I've had Snapseed for awhile but I haven't really explored the tools much. I need to explore more! Here is my page:
