I’ve never been the type to display many mementos but after we installed a new wall of cabinetry in the living room this fall, I was pleased to have some display space among the books to have out a few little items that are meaningful to me.
Mother’s Little Helper is the Hummel figurine my maternal grandmother bequeathed to me before her death. She loved her Hummel’s so I treasure having one to remember her by. The doily she sits on was crocheted by her mother and the little tea set in the background was one I used to play with at my great-grandmother Dale’s home as a little girl. They are all special to me.
