January 14: Mosaic Photo Effect

@IntenseMagic GEEZ!...Everyone's Layouts Looks Amazing!...I've Been Trying All Day To Do This...My Mosaic Looks Awful!...This Is Hard!...Not Really Getting It...I Guess I'll have To Try Again Tomorrow...I Made A Layout...It Just Looks UGH!...To Be Continued Tomorrow...I Guess..

Thank for the great challenge! Here is my page. I probably should have chosen a different photo, because the effect gets a bit lost in the brickwork of the ruins.

I'm so sorry you're struggling!! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help! I believe in you! You are so creative...I can't imagine anything being UGH lol.
Try not to stress to much! If it fits the challenge, post it...you can always work to refine it or make it more for you later ;) But definitely let me know if I can be of any help!

Not sure where I've gone wrong but I can't seem to get my photos to resize properly/show anything of value in them when I manually resize them in the contact sheet in PSCC. They are all landscape photos so orientation shouldn't be an issue but I'm well and truly stumped. I did try using a different method (not photoshop) and got stuck there too so decided probably best to go back to the tutorial if possible.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help, Jennifer! Can you move them around after you resize at all?

I am lucky enough to be able to hang out with my scrapping friends Deborrah and Esther IRL. What a gift they are.
My mosaic is all the photos I have taken between September 1st and December 31st since moving to Tampa! I used the second part of Jan's tutorial in PSE.

I can, I just lose most of the photo details because if I make it so there’s no white space only half of each photo is showing. Maybe the issue is my photo choices more than anything?

Could be. I know I had a couple of photos that ended up cropped weird or had half a face because of the resizing. But they turn out so small and blended, it's not that noticeable.

Great, I’ll keep going with what I was doing. There’s no people in these photos so I’m sure the odd weird crop will be fine. For now though I’ll have to put the challenge to one side and do a job application….not my ideal Sunday afternoon/evening job but one that must be done.

Good luck with your application!! I look forward to seeing your layout :)

I hope this will count! My top photo is a picture of the sand on the beach. I'm not sure if the photos in my mosaic are small enough- please let me know if I need to redo this.

Here is mine - thanks for the challenge and instructions, that's not something I've tried before!

Here's my page... The process of creating mosaic effect was fun... but coming up with the idea was hard... once I had my collage done, I tried placing it over several photos... but nothing looked good... and of course, the actual composition... gosh... this was some serious creative work.
