January 14: Mosaic Photo Effect

I feel like there is an easier way to make sure all of the pictures use all of the space on the page. I used 64 pictures (8X8) all horizontal thinking that would make it work but had to transform all the clipping masks AND every picture to make it work. If there was a way to know how many horizontal pictures would completely fill a 8X10 or something it would be so much quicker! I loved the result though! Thanks for the challenge!
 
Well this turned out to truly be a challenge! Tried the technique TWICE with Photoshop CC (which I normally use for scrapbooking) which froze my computer both times!!! :banghead Had to restart both times. Ran Photoshop (which I luckily have too but seldom use) and after some fiddling I got it to work - YAY! Loved the end result, but not sure I will make it again....:backing
I used over 100 photos for this from our summer vacation :)

For Offering Assistance...I Ended Up Using An Online Mosaic Creator Suggested By A Few Of The Lilypad Ladies Here In This Thread Who Created Their Pages With This Program Called : AndreaMosaic : So I Figured I Had Nothing To Lose Since I Wasn't Getting Anywhere Anyway!...I Used Over 1400 Photos To Create My Mosaic...I Don't Know...20 Minutes Later Or So A Completed Page Came Out...But It Looked Really Weird@!...I Guess I Did Something Wrong...I Didn't Even Realize I Had That Many Photos Either...You Can't See The Photos As You Upload Them To This Program...So It Was Hard To Tell...I Just Kept Adding Incase It Wasn't Enough...Either Way...I'm Not Completely Happy With This But I Have To Move On Now...To Be Clear :[...I Like The Concept I Came Up With For The Layout : Just Not The Mosaic Part...]...I'm So Behind...I Can't Spend Any More Time On This Challenge...I Tried & Did The Technique As I Could Eventhough It Didn't Turn Out Right...I Showed My Completed Page To A Close Personal Scrapper Friend Of Mine [Who I Trust Implicitly] & Asked Her For Her BRUTALLY! HONEST! Opinion...& She Gave It A Thumbs Up...So Here Goes Nothing...

Wow... great effect, but I ended up doing it manually as I couldn't get any of the tutorials to work using PSE '21. But it's a done deal now! :banana

It took a while, but I do love this technique! It would be great for an album cover. I used pictures of the paintings for my mosaic..

I used the technique you showed us, and what I like the most is that it hides the mess on my niece's photo; I used scrapbooking LOs I created for her last year for my pattern!
