My 223 words:
First friends are usually neighborhood friends and that was true for me. Eric was my first friend. He lived right across the street. We ate patty melts (flour tortillas and melted cheese rolled up) at his kitchen counter and jumped on the trampoline in my backyard. We had fun and it didn’t matter that he was a boy and I was a girl (I guess I wasn’t boy crazy yet). He moved to another city and I eventually took piano lessons from his mom but we were never friends again. Jared was another first friend. He lived just around the corner. His older sister told us to touch tongues so we did; that’s how I learned that older sisters can be trouble. I saw his parents dancing when I was at his house one time and thought that was the weirdest thing ever because my parents never danced together. He moved to another city too so I guess I learned early that friends don’t last long sometimes. Lorraine was another first friend. She lived on the corner. We spent hours in her tree spying on people. We also rode our bikes around and around and around the block. Lorraine and I played every sport together from age 5 to 15 so we learned how to work hard, play hard, and have fun together.

Remember that it's never too late to make new friends for life! Thanks to the scrapbooking, we met in Mjölby at a scrap event a few years ago and we have really become good friends. We don't see each other as often as we would like, but we meet at least twice a year at the scrap meetings in Mjälby, During three days we have time to talk about everything between heaven and earth. We have coffee, drink wine and eat good food. We inspire and encourage each other in our various projects that we are working on. We laugh uncontrollably a lot but can also get into deep topics of conversation. It's so lovely to have friends who understand my hobby and understand that you can geek out on paper, stamps, colors and different techniques. I really get a creative boost when we meet. If I could wish, we would meet more often - if only for coffee or go out one evening and have a glass of wine together. Now it is almost time to meet again on February 9-11. I'm really looking forward! It will be exciting what I manage to do this time. Sometimes there have been several articles - others not so many. Sometimes I usually go on a date if I find someone who I think seems giving.e.
Who knows? Maybe we can even get together a little more often?
