Jennifer and I became instant best friends. We met through our kids. There was a brand new arts-infused education charter school that had just opened up in our area. My kids started there in the 3rd grade. When they came home from their first day at this brand new school, my son was super excited to tell me all about this new friend he made. He talked my head off about it. Apparently, Jen's son was doing the same and after a few days of hearing this she reached out and contacted me so that our kids could have a play date. This is when I met the girl who is now one of my best friends ever. Just like our kids, we clicked instantly. While our kids were in school we would venture out and do things, we would get our shopping done together or whatever else we needed to do. We help each other around our houses. I'm always amazed at how handy she was from fixing her broken washing machine and some things on our cars to gardening, sewing, and baking. We are there for each other with any problems or tough times we are going through. We can tell each other anything with full support knowing there will never be any judgement. We just have this natural, wonderful friendship and we know we can always count on one another. Even our husbands are buddies and will help each other out when needed. Jennifer and I both look out for each others kids and even had each other as the emergency contact and other person allowed to pick up each others kids at school. We have been doing this friend thing for over 11 years now. We even joke (or is it a joke?) about moving to the same area eventually. She is from North Carolina and would like to either move back there or possibly to Florida. I would love to make a move more down south also, so it's a possibility. Who knows where we will end up in the future but all I do know is that Jen and I will always remain friends.
