January 12: Throwback Photo (Photography Challenge)

I'm usually pretty "caught up" on my photos, but I hadn't ever created a page of my parents' families of origin. This is my dad's family. I also mocked up a "right side" of this layout with my mom's family photo. Maybe I'll get to finish that page later in this month! :)

Gah I haven't scrapped these challenges all this week! Thanks for one that fit right into the project I am working on, conveniently January 6 years ago. :circles

My layout has pix of my son and daughter-in-law from their freshman year of high school (1999). My DIL recently posted a picture of their kids at the local ski hill on FB, and it reminded me of the pix I have of them - way before they got married and had kids of their own!

What A Great Challenge!...I Love Me Some Vintage/Retro Photo Scrap Layout Challenges...My Layout Is A Photo Of Little Old Me...I Don't Scrap Many Photos Of Myself But It Is One Of My Favorite Photos From When I Was Really Young...I Don't Know The Exact Year But It Was Around 1975-76(Oops...I Almost Gave My Age Away)...Mind You The Photo Wasn't A Very Good Quality So I Messed Around With It & Added Some Overlays,Bokeh,Textures & Some Effects To Make It Look Better...I Was Really Happy With How The Photo Looked After All The Work I Did On It Though...The Background Of The Trees You See In My Layout Is An Actual Photo That I Cropped & Added Various Textures & Effects Also To Achieve the Look That I Was Going For & Then I Added 2 Papers From The Glisten Kit & Blended Them All Together...

*The Mittens That You See Me Wearing In This Photo Were Hand Knitted Just For Me & For Some Reason That I Can't Possibly Remember...I Apparently Loved These Mittens So Much That I Took Them Everywhere I Went & Wore Them Even Inside The House...I Guess They Made Me Feel Special Because They Were Hand Knitted Just For Me...*
