- You know how people say, "It's not rocket science?" Well, my grandfather was a literal rocket scientist. He also sewed beautifully (my great-grandparents were garment workers), could rewire anything, sailed, had a hydroponic garden, held multiple patents, and made delicious fruit leather every year from peaches he grew. That's just a fraction of his interests and skills; I can't even wrap my brain around how someone had the time and brain-space to become good at so many things.
