January 12: Throwback Photo (Photography Challenge)

I had a tough time deciding what photo to use, but I settled on this one of my grandmother on one of the many trips she took with friends l later in life. I am SO grateful for this challenge because it really made me think that I need to start doing more pages like these, while my dad and others are around to tell me at least part of the stories.

I hope you can see the date, it's Sept 2, 2012 when we went to Death Valley. My daughter who was 8 at the time screamed "Stop the car". Before the car came to a complete stop, she jumped out and ran across the road (if you can call it that) in to the field (desert?). When we finally caught up with her she proclaimed she was the first one to see a cactus. We all laughed because we thought she was going to be sick, not show us a cactus!! We still laugh about it to this day!

I could scrap for years and never get them all caught up! It was hard to pick just one (actually I didn't, I scrapped 2 pages with pics from the same year)! I think the next MOC should only be old photos, then maybe I would get some of them done! I like walking down memory lane and it makes me remember why I do this crazy thing we all love!!

I'm still in the Christmas mood because none of out Christmas bins can go back to the attic until the roofers come and roof... So here's the only photo of that long ago Christmas party.
