Oh goodness. This just tore me up for you. There is nothing like that terror when your kids are hurt and you can't just put a bandaide on it and fix it for them. I'm so glad that it was only stitches and not something worse. He seem rather pleased with his injury in your cute photo though. Great storytelling here even if it's probably an awful memory for you. Your son will probably love this page best... war stories and all.
