TGIF! What's on for the weekend?

@lmccandless Two months? I can't imagine not seeing my kids for that long. (But my oldest is still only 15.) Have a great time!

@jesskab Darn rain. I hope the cub scouts have a lot of fun with Plan B.

@Iowan Curled up with a good book in front of a fire sounds fabulous!

@Pallavi01 I hope the folk dance does live up to your expectations. It sounds fun!

@keepscrappin Birthday in a Box! What a great idea! Your neighbor who sets up a carnival in her yard every year sounds awesome too.

Several people have mentioned rain so I'm feeling extra appreciative of our sunny forecast here.

@QuiltyMom Theater on Ice sounds interesting! Good luck to her! My daughters both love to act too.

@cookingmylife Yes, we're meeting at 5:45 here in Fredericksburg and carpooling up to Georgetown.

@Danyale Hugs to you. Have a very relaxing trip!

There are some inspiring ideas in this thread!

oooooooooooooooh we have a concert this weekend at out church...it is an outreach kinda thing...any ways, we have mini skits...and I get to me a devil...bhwhahah..I just got some cute little red sparkly horns...my 8 year old has been wearing them all day..so appropo!
I am making sight word vocab flash cards and science!
I see a new avatar in your future. Anne as a devil -- this is going to be cute.

We have the same rain and high wind warnings. Sounds like a weekend to curl up in a blanket and cut out ATC cards. Somewhere in there I need to get some foods.

How exciting to see your daughter! We are heading out to see my daughter at the end of the month, we will be there for 2 weeks. May was the last time I saw her. :sickie

I started off today with my colonoscopy (turned 50 this year) It is Homecoming here in our town this weekend. But I decided I do not feel like sitting on a cold bench tonight. So call me a bad mom but my son who is a senior and is in the marching band will not have me there as a witness. Good thing is he won't care. So that is a good thing. No hurt feelings.

Waking up early in the morning to bring my son to get his Senior Portraits done! Looking forward to that! AND I will finally have some photos of him to scrap! :winner

Sunday. Church. Then at 1:00 my mom is having a pot luck at her house as my brother and wife/kids are here for a visit! Excited they live 600 miles away and I have not seen them in a little more than a year.

We're in the middle of a snow storm, so I expect that tonight we'll just stay safe and snug at home and watch a movie. Tomorrow is a Scout's bottle drive, plus my oldest son has 2 basketball games. Then Saturday night is dinner at my parents. Sunday is my youngest's football game. It is going to be cold and probably still have lots of snow.

Jealous of your snow!!

Update, I have ordered 2 Lego sets & a Thomas DVD. Also having a Prime Pantry delivery tomorrow. So, my boys & I will have a weekend in. I can't wait to see what they'll build!

I don't think I will be doing anything at all! (aside from laundry, which I like)
But I might skip over the border to Germany to do some shopping.

Our autumn break has started tonight and since me and my two sisters are all teaching, we all have a week off! We usually go out for at least one day and do something fun. But we haven't planned anything just yet.

I got my grandma all set up for a few days on her own. Lots of errands and things. Now we've battened down the hatches and are riding out multiple major storms. We drove down to our beach place, and then realized it was a fools' errand because of the weather. There was a tornado on the Oregon coast earlier today, and we had the threat of one early this morning. Yikes. Just totally weird for this area.

We also got here and found that we'd been burgled. Luckily not the house. Our shed/carport had been broken into and they stole a brand new lawnmower, an older lawnmower, and our power washer. So frustrating. Tim has been dodging the wind/rain to put up some new lighting that is motion-sensored and bright. We may also invest in some cameras or other security measures since we're here infrequently.

We're heading home tomorrow night so Kennedy can see his mom. She's been in Las Vegas for work, so he hasn't seen her in nearly 2 weeks because of her crazy schedule. We're getting together with my mom, sis, nephew for pizza on Sunday evening to celebrate my mom's birthday.

We have a football game tonight. It's raining so I think I might skip bringing the camera gear with me and won't do the sideline pix tonight. Hopefully no one is mad. My daughter has a couple friends in town for the weekend. They came home from college to see her. Other than that, not much planned ...

It's going to be another working weekend for me, but I'll have a few fun things scattered in there, too!

Darren is coming home this weekend, and earlier this week my Camry station wagon started having a mystery fuel leak. I've been needing more cargo capacity for business stuff and traveling with the dogs, anyway, (and my other car is a 2-seater Honda del Sol), so we will probably go out looking for a new-ish car for me while he is here! I'm looking at something still station-wagon or crossover sized (and Googling cargo space for tons of different models), but I won't rule out a full-size SUV (think Land Cruiser) or even a commercial/fleet vehicle like the newer Nissan full-size work vans as long as it is comfortable enough for a long interstate trip (we would totally turn that baby into a camper later on when I don't need it for hauling any more). We'll just have to see what turns up!

We also STILL haven't watched last year's Doctor Who Christmas special, so I think that's on the schedule, too.

So glad to see the weekend get here. I've been spending this evening with my new grandbaby and now I"m settling in for uploading layouts and hanging around! DS has his last regular season football game tomorrow and fortunately we don't have to travel for it :). The rest of the weekend will be spent with football on tv and scrapping!!

Thinking of you West Coast girls. We had Hurricane Matthew last weekend, so I know what it is like to endure rain and storms. Stay safe. (We are fine, but east of here in NC is a mess with flooding, etc.).

Hope to get out and take some photos this weekend; leaves are just starting to turn color. And scrap! I would like to get 15 to 20 pages in the 2016 album done - and play with my BYOC and iDSD purchases.

We are going to have some great weather this weekend. Both days in the high 70's. ☀️Perfect weather for hiking, so we are going to find a path and follow it. Hopefully, there will be something nice at the end, like maybe a waterfall.

We have been discussing going for a hike in a local state park tomorrow but the van is leaking fluid so we'll see if/when it gets fixed and how much time that leaves us. We're going to carve pumpkins Saturday or Sunday night.

I also need to go shopping for my sister's birthday party Sunday & order my son's Halloween costume.

I'd like to scrap but my son hasn't slept through the night in 2 weeks so we'll see how inspired I feel! :dizzy

Well here in Western Washington we will be getting hit with a 2nd wind/rain storm starting tomorrow. It's the remnants of a typhoon that was in the Pacific. We got hit with a bad storm last night and today too. Hoping we don't lose power!

Not sure what I'll be doing this weekend as I'm suffering through a really achy back when I walk or sit plus I was out yesterday so am really paying for it today unfortunately.

Plans? Get milk. We are almost out.

And church on Sunday. That's the sum total of my thrilling weekend. :agree I will be enjoying the sun.
