January 30 - Extreme Shadows-3D sculpture world/place

Such a creative challenge! Are product elements made from a photo allowed? @AnneofAlamo
Hmmmm? Product elements you make or in the store?
Yes to store, but no to out of your own photo. That would be fun to see(I’m intrigued) but not the spirit of the challenge of no photos

I don't have PSE but an easy way to do a square or rectangle would be to use the Marquee tool (I think the shortcut key is M but it looks like a dashed edge square/rectangle.) If you drag in 2 papers & then click the top paper to make it 'active', hit M then drag out a shape in the middle of your page, then go to Select pull down menu & choose Invert (I hit Ctrl shift I in Photoshop to select the inverse but I'm not sure if its the same) then hit delete, it will cut that shape out of the top paper.
(Alternately if you can use 'brushes', you can possibly load & use a brush of any shape on a new layer. Hit B to activate your brush tool & just click to stamp it once, then click on the little avatar/thumbnail of what you stamped in the Layers Palette to get marching ants around the perimeter of the shape & then activate the paper layer & hit delete - if you hide the brush layer, you should be able to see it has worked and 'cut out' the brush/stamp

I have deleted this post, because it seemed to be more a hindrance than a help, and I do not want anyone else to get more frustrated than they already were. Sorry, I think I did not make it clear that you delete on the layer beneath .
